Can payroll support contractors and full-time employees?

MalayHire's EOR service is designed for full-time employees employed under Malaysian employment contracts and contractors (part-time or full-time). The statutory protections of the Employment Act 1955 (annual leave, sick leave, EPF, SOCSO, EIS) apply to these employees.

MalayHire does not process payroll for true independent contractors. Under Malaysian law, the classification of a worker as an employee versus a contractor has significant legal implications. If a worker is classified as an employee in substance (regular hours, supervision, ongoing engagement), they should be employed through an EOR arrangement rather than as a contractor to avoid misclassification risk.
