Can clients customize employee benefits?

Yes. MalayHire supports a range of customizable benefits on top of the statutory minimums. Clients can configure the following per employee or across their entire team:

  • Additional annual leave — above the Employment Act minimum (e.g., 20 days/year instead of 8)
  • Fixed allowances — monthly transport, mobile, meal, or housing allowances included in the employment contract
  • Private medical insurance — group policy covering outpatient, hospitalisation, dental, or optical
  • Performance bonuses — discretionary or contractual, processed through monthly payroll
  • Remote work provisions — terms around working arrangements

Benefits must be set before the employment contract is issued. Changes to contractual benefits after employment starts require a contract amendment, which MalayHire can facilitate. All benefit changes are reflected in the payroll and on the employee's payslip.
